Hospitalization 70% less likely from Omicron than Delta, says UK study

Early analysis of data on the Omicron variant showed a significant reduction in the percentage of patients requiring hospital treatment according to the UK Health Security Agency.
It comes as the UK announced a record 119,789 new infections in the last 24 hours.
