Euro 2020, a tournament delayed by a year because of the pandemic, will finally get underway this Friday at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome when Italy host Turkey.
The 24 team event will be played at 11 venues across the continent and is by far the biggest sporting event to take place since the start of the pandemic.
Ahead of Friday’s kickoff coronavirus has already affected the preparations of several teams including one of the favourites, Spain.
