Four months after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas, there is growing uncertainty as to what comes next for the Palestinian people.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace has earmarked billions of dollars to rebuild Gaza. During the inaugural summit in Washington, D.C. last week. Leaders pledged $7 billion in addition to the $10 billion committed by the United States.
The United Nations, European Union and World Bank estimate $70 billion is needed to rebuild Gaza with more than 80% of the buildings, including homes, hospitals and schools destroyed.
The United Nations Human Rights Chief Volker Turk says the situation there "remains catastrophic.”
