For nearly a century, Palestinians and Israelis have lived in a perpetual war marked by violence, grief, and competing claims over land, security, and national identity.
Now, two peace activists are working to end that cycle. Aziz Abu Sarah and Maoz Inon call themselves peacebuilders. Both have experienced pain and heartbreak, first hand.
Aziz’s 19-year-old brother, Tayseer Abu Sarah, was beaten and tortured in an Israeli military prison and died from his injuries a few weeks after his release in 1990.
Maoz’s parents, Yakovi and Bilha Inon, were both killed when Hamas fighters attacked them in their home on October 7th, 2023.
Together, they’ve written a book called “The Future is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land.”
