A reception for the 2023 Chinese New Year of the rabbit was held by the Chinese Embassy in the U.S. on the evening of January 17.
About 800 guests attended the event to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year and enjoyed food, drinks and performances.
At the reception, Chargé d’Affaires Madam Xu Xueyuan, delivered a speech and said that China has substantially adjusted its COVID-19 response measures, effective from January 8. The Chinese economy is expected to regain a five percent growth. China is again welcoming visitors from all over the world with open arms.
Some guests said that they can't wait to plan a trip to China this year, and wish everyone a happy new year.
