Around 50 million people around the world suffer from dementia: a syndrome in which there is a deterioration in memory, thinking and behavior, resulting in the inability to perform every day activities.
Not only does the disease have a profound impact on the families affected, but it is also costly to healthcare systems.
Emma Keeling meets the team at London-based Cognitivity Neurosciences who are hoping to alleviate the issue with the creation of their early-detection 5 minute iPad test.
With a history of dementia in her family, Emma nervously tries out the test for herself.
